A-primero post
Wednesday, September 28th, 2005Well, this happens to be my first post in my new blog.
I thought this would be a good start which adds to the many new happenings in my life. One happened to be moving from one end of the City to the other, from the sunny Mission to the foggy Richmond.
The move happened to bring up some new opportunities for new starts and changes. One happens to be revising my diet. I adopted a program I found in a recent issue of Women’s Health. It was made and tailored for a busy woman but I found myself busily chopping and planning and just maintaining. However, I did discover some tasty snacks and some things I do want to keep around. I rediscovered my love for salads.
I started up doing more strength and stretching exercises at least twice a week. Results do show. I have a nice strong core that I showed off during the Folsom Street Fair this past weekend.
I also started running a lot more. I toy with the idea back and forth of doing a marathon at the end of the year but I think about how broke I am and not want to do it.
And now here I am doing the hardest part- finding my bliss and finding something that is more financially supportive. I am not happy at my current job and just feeling ugly and icky. I’m out there looking in the legal field but it seems like even just finding something entry level is challenging. I just feel really down on myself a whole lot.
For those that know me well, I am notoriously very demanding on myself. Something I wish I could really break. I wish I could assure myself and find that confidence within me that I don’t need to be super perfect or extraordinary to find acceptance.
OK, enough of my rantings and ravings. Up at the crack of dawn for yet another fun day of work and classes. Wednesdays are the challenging days because of work and class combined but all fun in the end.
